Metal Plaque Warranty Information and Maintenance CAST, PRECISION TOOLED, AND ETCHED PLAQUES WARRANTY INFORMATION Plaques not installed in or parallel to the ground are covered under a Lifetime Warranty. The warranty means that if any of our plaque products fade, break, or contain any defect, the foundry will refinish or replace the defective materials at no cost to you, as long as they are installed in their original location. The warranty does not cover intended damage, vandalism, natural disasters or weather-related issues, or similar "acts of god". **Cast, Precision Tooled, or Etched plaques that are installed in the ground or run parallel to the ground void this warranty. Stucco installations: Plaques installed to stucco require studs and spacers with a minimum standoff of 1/4" inch. There is no warranty for plaques installed directly to stucco without standoffs/spacers. The chemicals from the stucco can create a reaction that will damage the clear coat and metal finish of the plaque. Warning: Neither seller nor manufacturer shall be liable for injury, loss, or damage, director, or consequential, arising out of the use of the product. Before using, user shall determine the suitability of the product for his or her intended use and the user assumes all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith. MAINTENANCE All plaques will require cleaning to retain their original luster over time. Depending on the installation environment, we recommend cleaning all outdoor and indoor plaques every few months. Plaques are top-coated with clear acrylic polyurethane to protect the plaque from corrosion. To clean your plaque, use a soft cloth, rag, or sponge and warm, soapy water (use gentle liquid dish soap - do NOT use abrasive cleaning agents or tools). Dry with a soft rag or cloth. Always carefully wipe the same direction as the brushed metal grain. |
